What do you do at Signature?
I work directly with our families to reduce the complexity in their lives and ensure they meet their goals and aspirations.
What qualities make you best suited to do what you do?
In a former life, I was a M&A attorney. The experience taught me great organizational skills and honed my attention to detail. I’m also skilled at seeing the big picture and hitting proper milestones along the way.
What do you love about wealth management?
Simplifying the lives of my clients and finding solutions to help them reach their goals. Every client is unique, and I enjoy becoming an extension of their family as we help them reach their outcome.
What is your favorite thing about working at Signature?
We’re never selling anything to the client. We help them find solutions that are responsive to their particular needs instead of pulling a product off the shelf. I love having a small number of clients, because it enables us to dig deep and always do what is best for them.
What’s one thing you wish more people understood about their wealth?
That firms like Signature exist. You can find a firm that puts clients first. You can find a firm that you can trust to be a good thinking partner, so you have time to enjoy the passions which your wealth affords you.
What professional highlights are you most proud of?
The four years I spent at William and Mary getting a JD/MBA were well worth it. I constantly draw on both skillsets in my work, and my experience as a corporate attorney makes me a more thoughtful adviser.
What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
Providing excellent service to my clients. I know more about music—and see more live bands—than most people. I also completed five marathons and climbed to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
